Premium build
From top to bottom, the Profitec Pro 400 is built like a tank. No flimsy cup rails here! Its knobs, switches, and lever are snappy and always easy to operate. At just 228mm wide, this is a slim machine that you won’t find too hard to fit into any kitchen.
Design-wise, it goes beyond being just another chrome machine with its brushed metal casing, gorgeous branding at the back, and the shiny mirror finish on the front. The Profitec Pro 400 also comes with interchangeable discs for the steam and hot water knobs if you enjoy a pop of colour.
Pro Brewing Controls
The Profitec Pro 400 gives the barista extensive settings to play with without being too fussy. For starters, there’s temperature adjustment via a three-way switch at the bottom of the machine to drive your brewing temperature up or to bring more power to the steamer. Then on top of the machine, you’ll also find an expansion valve for adjusting brewing pressure, accessible without prying any of the panels off.
Finally, the Profitec Pro 400 is automated where it matters: preinfusion. The machine automatically does a 5-second 4-pressure preinfusion before hitting the full brewing pressure. Other features you’ll love about the Profitec Pro 400: a top-loading 2.8L water tank that’s easy to refill, a removable cup tray for easy cleaning, and blind basket storage beneath the cup tray for the ultimate organization.
