A zero-retention, single-dose coffee grinder designed to speed up your workflow and look fantastic while at it. Using slope geometry to reduce retention to <0.1 over a 10g dose, the Varia VS3 Grinder eliminates the need to purge when switching from one kind of coffee bean to another. It also allows precision grinding, thanks to its stepless adjustment.
Zero-retention
The Varia VS3 lets you grind different coffees one after another without needing to purge in between. That saves you both precious time and coffee! Designed with a 76.5° acute angle, the grinder expels the grounds efficiently, leaving less than 0.1 grams of ground coffee for every 10 grams of beans.
Precision Grinding
Whether you’re grinding beans for filter brew or espresso, the Varia VS3 delivers. The micrometric adjustment lets you hone in on the perfect grind size with ease, with each turn of the dial equivalent to a 0.02mm burr shift.
It also has a marked dial so there’s no confusion about your current grind settings. The Varia VS3 comes with a 38mm Supernova burr which is a 6-core hexagonal burr with an HRC58 hardness.
Premium construction
The die-cast space-grade aluminium alloy body and all internal components are CNC machined to a 0.02mm accuracy to ensure precision. Finished off with a flawless powder-coated durable matte exterior, the Varia VS3 is a beauty. It also feels delightful to use with its magnetic lid and magnetic base: the lid and your dosing cup snap into place so you’re never fumbling for the perfect position.

Generation 2 - Upgraded internal parts with a new all-metal gearbox, improved drive assembly, outer burr assembly and uncompromised manufacturing tolerances.
Zero-retention - The 76.5° acute angle design minimises the retention of the coffee grounds to less than .01 grams.
Micrometric adjustment - Stepless adjustment with a .02mm burr shift with every turn of the dial.
Magnetic base and lid - The hopper lid and dosing cup will snap into place thanks to the magnetic lid and base.
Replaceable burrs - The stock 38mm Supernova burr is great but you can further upgrade to Hypernova burrs!
*Crucial Note: While the VS3 is designed to accommodate both espresso and filter grind sizes, it may face difficulties with underdeveloped, lightly roasted coffees at espresso settings (depending on the roast degree and bean type). When grinding such beans, exercise extra caution by feeding them in slowly or adjusting your dose to a slightly coarser grind size for optimal performance.
